Excellent Mix of Comfort, Tech and Protection

They may look a little storm-troopery but these are VERY COMFORTABLE to walk in. My second boots with the BOA system and I’ll never go back to laces. I exchanged the Icon Tarmac’s (a little too small) for these (a little roomy in the same size). The soles are sturdy and it feels protective, d3o in the ankle, firm heel and toe areas. But they really shine off the bike, walking around all day. It took a little while to come to like the aesthetic but that’s just personal preference: the top of the toe has no visible shift pad, just a rigid material, and the felt-looking panels look kinda space age. They are waterproof but the liner is not all the way up the ankle, stops about where a low-top sneaker would end. Not too hot to ride in FL. Not the cheapest “sneaker/boot” but the quality and the BOA make it worth it. I feel they’ll last a long time. I would buy these again for the rest of my life. 5/5. Thanks for MSF discount and great customer service!
